James Sunderland
29 years old, clerk, main character of the game. Receives the misterious letter from his wife, dead three years ago, that lead him to reach Silent Hill as soon as possible, in their special place. Destroyed inside for his wife loss, James wants to try anyway, reaching the location that years ago attracted so many tourists, Silent Hill. He will meet various persons, but the adventure will be dealed by himself, except for Maria’s company, in some cases.


Mary Shepherd Sunderland
Housewife, 25 years old, James’ wife. Dead for a fatal sickness, a letter from her arrives to James. She loves Silent Hill for many remembrances of happiness and love, it’s a special place for her. In the main story, she will be seen only in various flashbacks, when she wishes to come back to Silent Hill. Lives her last days in the Brookhaven Hospital, with Laura that loves just like a daughter.


Maria
Dancer, 25 years old, works at the Heaven’s Night club. Physically identical to Mary, but character and dressing at the opposite of her, she will follow James through some locations. James will take care of her, being close to falling in love, then cry for her in some situations. There are apparently no more informations about her.


Laura
An 8 years old girl, hospitalized with Mary. Maybe orphan, she considered her a mother. She will pursue James in many occasions, annoying and disturbing, and seems to be conscious of what really Silent Hill is, maybe the only. Anyway, she will give many information to James, about Mary and her hospitalization period.


Angela Orosco
19 years old, she’s in Silent Hill looking for her mother. Troubled and bashful for being abused from her father many years ago, she will often manifest how really insane she is. Hysterical and unsure, will be the first person that James meets, and she will warn him about the wrongness around Silent Hill.


Eddie Dombrowski
A part-time service station attendant, 23 years old. Crazy and violence devoted, he has always been joked and tricked from everyone because of his overweight and awkwardness, then he now thinks that everything and everyone is against him, thinks that every person that look at him wants to joke him, and for this he kills them. After debutting in a not-so decent way in James’ story, he will be a dangerous and annoying obstacle for the protagonist.
